CORK CHAIR
I built this chair over the course of several days in the winter of 2006. I used only the materials from the top of two champagne bottles (leftovers from New Years Eve): including two corks, two metal caps, wire, and foil. It stands less than 4" tall. Stemming from a design/build session for the annual Design Within Reach Champagne Chair Contest, this electric chair was my controversial entry as the State of California was in the midst of an intensive debate over several recent executions.
